Who we are

Pachinko Balls Club Sydney Pty Ltd (ABN 47 902 618 354, ACN 619 847 203) operates the pachinko entertainment venue at Level 1, Market City, 9-13 Hay Street, Haymarket NSW 2000, and the website pachinkoballs.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

By using our website, booking our services or visiting the venue, you agree to the practices described below. If you don't agree, please don't submit personal information — you're always welcome to enquire by phone instead.

What we collect

We collect the information you give us directly: name, email and phone number when you submit an enquiry or booking; date and party size for event quotes; membership details when you join; and your ID at the door as required by our 18+ licence conditions.

We also collect some information automatically — basic site analytics (pages visited, device type), and CCTV in the venue for safety and machine security. We don't collect payment card numbers ourselves; any card transactions are processed by the terminal provider.

How we use it

We use personal information only for the purposes you'd reasonably expect:

  • Responding to enquiries and confirming bookings you've requested.
  • Running your membership, ball account and prize-point balance.
  • Sending service updates — booking changes, event info, members' tournament invites.
  • Meeting legal obligations — ID checks, licence conditions, incident records.

Sharing and storage

We don't sell personal information, full stop. We share it only with the providers who help us run the club — booking and email systems, our accountant for invoiced corporate events, and regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.

Data is stored in Australia wherever practical; some service providers (email, analytics) store data overseas under standard contractual protections. We keep enquiry records for up to two years, membership records for the life of the membership plus statutory periods, and CCTV footage for approximately 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Members can update most details themselves at the host desk; everyone can write to us using the contact details below.

Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link — one click, no questions. If you unsubscribe, we keep only the minimum needed to honour your request and any legal records.

Security and complaints

We protect personal information with access controls, staff confidentiality obligations and secure systems. No method is perfect, but if a data breach ever affects you in a way the law requires us to report, we will.

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first — we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
